SMS Messaging Program & Opt-In
This page describes the text-messaging (SMS) program operated by Gulf Coast Reception LLC and exactly how end users give consent to receive messages. It is published so that anyone — including carriers and messaging reviewers — can verify our opt-in experience.
Opting in to SMS is voluntary. It is never required to use our service, to book or complete an appointment, to create an account, or to make a purchase. You receive the same, full service whether or not you opt in, and SMS consent is never bundled with our Terms of Service.
What the program is
Gulf Coast Reception operates an AI phone receptionist for local service businesses (such as HVAC, plumbing, roofing, garage door, and auto/marine detailing shops). When opted in, the program sends two kinds of message:
- Appointment messages to customers — a confirmation and an optional reminder for an appointment the customer booked by phone.
- Operational alerts to business owners — call summaries and booking notifications about the owner's own account.
We do not send marketing or promotional texts, and we do not message numbers obtained from third parties or purchased lists.
How customers opt in (verbal, on the phone)
A customer calls a client business's published phone number because they want service. Our AI receptionist books and verbally confirms the appointment on the call regardless of any text consent. Separately, before the call ends, the assistant asks a distinct, optional question:
“Would you like a text confirmation of your appointment? It's optional — you're booked either way.”
Only if the caller affirmatively answers yes do we capture their mobile number and send appointment-related texts about that caller's own appointment. A caller who declines receives identical service. The call recording and transcript are retained as the per-recipient record of when and how consent was given.
How business owners opt in
A business owner who subscribes to the Service may choose to turn on SMS notifications. This is a separate, optional preference — it is not required to subscribe to or use the Service, and owners who decline still receive the same information by email and in their reporting dashboard. An owner opts in by affirmatively providing a mobile number for notifications and confirming they want to receive texts.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies based on your interaction with the Service. Most recipients receive fewer than ten (10) messages per month.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply. We do not charge for the messages; your wireless carrier's standard rates apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
How to opt out or get help
Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe at any time. Reply HELP for help, or email support@gulfcoastreception.ai.
Privacy
